Minnesota workers most commonly suffer back injuries

The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry reported that, in 2010, back injuries were three times as common as any other type of injury among workers, accounting for 26 percent of all work injury cases. Common work-related neck and back injuries include herniated disks, spinal subluxations, fractured vertebrae, cervical dislocations, compressed disks, bulging disks and torn disks, among others.

If you have suffered a neck or back injury on the job, you know how painful it can be. You know such injuries can impact the ability to perform your job, accomplish daily tasks or even enjoy your life. Neck and back injuries can lead to chronic pain that may last for years after the injury occurs.

Because of the importance and delicacy of the spinal cord and the vertebrae, any injury to the neck or back should be treated seriously and attended to as quickly as possible. The spinal column is surrounded by important ligaments and muscles that have significant impact on movement, so even injuries that seem minor initially can greatly affect the life of the person injured.

People who suffer work accident injuries are generally entitled to workers' compensation benefits as a matter of course, even without a demonstration of their employer's negligence. At Bosch Law Firm, we have experience helping injured workers with the preparation and submission of their workers' compensation claims. We are willing to litigate claims, if necessary, to ensure that you get the benefits you deserve, so you have a chance to return to normal life and provide for your family.

Accidents involving the neck, upper back or lower back should be viewed seriously, as they may grow worse, rather than better, with time. If you have suffered an injury at work, please examine our statewide neck and back injury representation page for more information about the process of securing workers' compensation benefits.
