Minnesota readers may be interested in an account of a natural gas well explosion that took place in Pennsylvania recently. One person is missing, and another was injured following the explosion, which took place at about 6:45 a.m. on Feb. 11. The well caught fire and continued to burn into the afternoon.
Minnesota farmworkers may be interested to learn the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency may soon be updating its regulations for handling of the pesticides farmworkers use. Current regulations are more than 20 years old and considered out of date by numerous organizations representing farmworkers. The EPA is expected to publish proposed regulations within the next few weeks.
